Before I go on about my rant, I would like to point out that I am not, in fact, a Sony or Microsoft fan (I think they're all whores). Got that? Good. Now. . .
I am sick and tired of hearing "how innovative and fan-loving" the new Nintendo system is. What was the first Wii game again? ANOTHER Legend of Zelda game? Who's the whore now?
Look, the point I'm trying to make is, that innovation does not come from a fucking remote that isn't used half the time anyway (the nun-chuck), it comes from the developers use of the systems processing power. So, the more processing power you have, the more you can innovate (because you can do more stuff with more processing power, not with a new remote). Sad as it is, if any system were truly fertile grounds for innovation, it would be Sony's $600 PS3. But that doesn't change the fact that Sony is a bunch of whores, just like Nintendo and Microsoft. Nintendo's lower price is only a sign that Nintendo has started whoring in the red-light district.
One last question: why do people say Nintendo cares about it's fans and that Sony is smug and arrogant towards it's fans (both are, really, they aren't as bad as microsoft, though)? excuse me, but, if Nintendo cares so much about it's fans then why is it spending so little on improving it's console from the last generation? I mean, when you consider the actual changes between the Wii and the Gamecube (the Wii isn't even as powerful as an Xbox and it STILL lacks basic online functionality. STILL!!!), that $250 price tag starts to seem rather steep.
One more time: I am NOT a Sony fan. I REALLY hate Sony for fucking up the friends system in their online services. Seriously.
